On April 5, 2003, Rainville gave permission to Lance Stack for shows to be hosted at the Archive:
Lance wrote:
"Diana et al,
"I'm currently the archivist for a band called Rainville, who
primarily tours in the southwest (CO, NE, AZ, NM, etc).
We've gathered a fairly extensive collection of recordings
over the past year, and I mentioned archive.org to the
band in hopes that they would be interested in participating
in the project.
"I've forwarded you a recent conversation I've had with the
bands lead signer/guitarist, John Common, in which he has
expressed interest in getting some shows hosted. Since
the band is beginning to tour out East in the upcoming months,
we'd really like to get Rainville's music out to more people via
an addition to the allowable band list."
and John wrote in part to Lance:

> pick the stuff that sucks the least though!
